Casey Ray and company!

I love my brother. Casey is is my first born brother three years my junior. We've always had a pretty good relationship growing up...just don't ask him about the horse whip incident(s)...he can't prove anything!

Casey and a couple of his good friends made it out from California recently on their way to an invitation only four-wheeling event. His little woman, Leslie, even made the trek to say hi! It was so nice to visit! Here's the group hanging out in the shade...

Here's Leslie and Casey getting some quality time in with the punks...

..and "Uncle" Kenny was a real big hit...a true kid at heart, he and Randi were instant BFFs...

Here's the vehicle they hauled out here to take on the 4x4 excursion....Casey builds these things from the ground up...like father, like son! He's a real handy-man.

When they got back, we kicked back for a few hours (some of us more than others) before they hit the road back to Cali...

JR grilled some chicken and burgers to make sure they left with full bellies...

..and Kenny showed Randi how to perfect her air guitar routine....

I even got Leslie in the saddle and we went for a ride around the property...it was a load of fun!

It was so nice to see them, and look forward to meeting up again around Thanksgiving this year...

Swimmin', Pushin', & Pullin'!

The whole crew got some fancy new swim suits this past week, so we headed next door to the KOA to test them out! Sporting the navy blue board shorts is super cool mini-man, CJ...

..and pretty in a pink floral is none other than Sophie Rose...

...finally, showing off her brightly colored beekeenee and matching 'help me' orange floaties is the original punk, Randi Mae! On your mark...

...get set...

...JUMP!

..TUCK!

..and SPLASH!

..and she's gone!

The girls took some time to chill out together...

...and CJ wasn't left out either...ahhhhhh, cool toes!

...but after a while, it was time to go home...and I was soon reminded of just how far HOME was...you see, I had the bright idea to hike it...the KOA is about a mile from the house, even though it's right next door...we take the driveway down to the power lines...follow the power lines across the hay field and down the hill....then trek through the trees to the pot of gold, the POOL! On this day, I opted to push the punks in our double stroller, and Randi drove her mini-Gator...the trip there was uneventful...going home, however, was another story...
As we head from the pool into the trees, Randi pulls ahead of me...all is well as I tag along behind her pushing the stroller....

...then we come to the hill...or "Oh Sh!t Mountain" as I have affectionately named it...see the brat in the Gator there? Well, that's where she got stuck and started peeling out....the hill was too steep for the battery operated plastic wannabe...

...so this is how I spent the rest of the climb up said hill...pushing the stroller, pushing the Gator...

...wearing a tube dress and flip flops...neither of which wanted to stay on their intended body parts...

...but we made it...and just as we began to cross the hay field, her battery gave out...and I had to tow her the rest of the way using this handy pink towel...doesn't she just look so dang comfortable sitting there? hmph...

..and so I towed...all the way back to the house....towed and pushed actually....

Talk about a workout! It's bordering on 90 degrees out today...what we don't do for our punks...*eye roll*...now, time for a shower!

Me and my Babes...

The last photo I have of me and my chitlens was just after the twins were delivered at the hospital! For shame! I was able to convince my dear hubby this week to take a few minutes and capture some pics of me and my fast growing herd of rebel rousers...10 weeks later! CJ is in blue stripes, Sophie is in white....Enjoy!

Happy Families!

A day they'd rather forget...

I loaded up the punks last week for their 2 month checkups and the Little Brat tagged along for her Kindergarten physical as well. It's hard to believe how fast time flies. seems like just yesterday LB was here for her baby checkups...sigh

I stripped the punks down for the Dr. and it's almost as if they knew what was coming...just look at the way they comforted each other over the impending poking and prodding....awwwww!

After their weigh-in, I learned that the pair have been doing some significant pudging since their last appt! Sophie is a solid 11 1/2 lbs and CJ is a whopping 12 1/2! You couldn't tell by looking at him though, right? I mean, he's obviously wasting away to nothing here...

LB, as usual, did a phenomenal job of looking over her little brother and sister...she even volunteered to get her shots first so they would not be scared...what a sport!

So this event symbolizes the last loose ends that needed to be tied up for them all to be ready for their school endeavors...the punks start daycare on the 14th of June, and LB is set for Kindergarten in the fall...yeah!
Happy Summer Vacations (or not, if you work like me),
Leah

We have a Grad in the house!

Pictured below is LB with both her certificate of graduation, and perhaps more importantly, her award for BEST HAIR! lol

The Little Brat graduated from Preschool this month...Hip-Hip-Hooray! After her summer school program at Growing Kids Academy she will be headed to Kindergarten in the fall....she is VERY excited! Here is LB and her two bestest teachers...

She's made some really great friends at Preschool...unfortunately, not all of them will be attending her Elementary School...I have no concern about her ability to adapt and overcome though...she is the social butterfly in every way that I am NOT!

Congrats to all our friends and family graduating in 2010!
Happy Trails,
Leah
