Back in the saddle again...

The Little Brat has started group lessons this year at Hazlewild Farm...she is in the level 1 class with kids of varying age ranges...they all have one thing in common though, they are ready to ride! In her first lesson, she was given the largest horse on what could have been one of the coldest days of the year...brrrrr...but she wanted to go back the following Monday! Yeah! I did not get any pics, as I had forgotten the camera...

For the second lesson, she got another large horse, and the saddle was not fitting her very well...she struggled a little with trotting because she kept losing her stirrups, but hung in there till the end...how about some 2-point jumping position?

..and balancing exercises?

In her last lesson this past Monday she was finally given a size appropriate pony and rocked it! I also took her saddle so we knew she'd be fitted well...the combination was successful and next thing I knew she was showing off her moves....this is her first attempt at POSTING...she's almost got it down! Daddy has been coming along to play the part of groomer and tacker-upper for when I am otherwise preoccupied...he's got it down pat! I guess this means I am free to go pop out these punks now....any day now....annnny minute.....sigh.
